The Berkeley County Prevention Board and its member agencies are sponsoring the 33rd Annual Candlelight Memorial Services. The Prevention Board has hosted these Memorial Services each year since 1989. The purpose is to increase the awareness of driving while impaired, to remember loved ones who have lost their lives, and to remember all those who have been affected by crashes involving drunk and drugged drivers.

There will be a special candle lighting ceremony in commemoration of victims and their families. We extend a special invitation to those who have lost a family member or have been otherwise affected by an impaired driver to light a candle on behalf or in memory of your loved one.

The program is one way the public can speak out against impaired driving. Another way you can help is to be a responsible host. Don’t let anyone get behind the wheel of a car after drinking or taking drugs.

We ask that you join us at Pointe North Church (110 Bilo Drive, Moncks Corner, SC) at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, December 6th. If you know someone whose family has been affected by a drunk driver, please encourage him/her to attend and light a candle in honor of his/her loved one/s. If you would like to share the contact information with us, we will send a special invitation.
