The Ernest E. Kennedy Center is a private non-profit 501(3)(c) agency that is designated by the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services to provide quality alcohol and drug abuse treatment to the residents of Berkeley County South Carolina. We offer comprehensive alcohol and other drug abuse services for community residents of all ages. We believe that treatment is an avenue towards recovery which provides a foundation for a lifetime of sobriety, serenity, and spirituality. OUR MISSION It is the mission of The Ernest E. Kennedy Center to serve the citizens of Berkeley County by providing prevention, education, intervention, treatment and referrals to those affected by alcohol and other drugs or high risk behaviors. PROFESSIONAL STAFF All of our services are provided by a compassionate, caring team of qualified and credentialed / licensed health care professionals operating under a strict code of ethics. CONFIDENTIALITY We fully understand that your privacy and confidentiality are highly important and we take it very seriously. The privacy between client and staff is protected by very strict Federal and State laws and regulations. All of our staff are trained regularly on these laws and we work very hard to insure that your privacy is appropriately respected. ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION Any person and their family experiencing difficulties related to the use of alcohol and other drugs and who meets the admission criteria for the individual program in which they apply is eligible for services regardless of gender, age, race, religion, sexual orientation, or ability to pay. FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS The cost of services vary in accordance with the assessed needs of each person served and is based on an established schedule of fees.
